Reflection Synthesis of Fundamental Course

Deep Thoughts on What I Learned in Fundamental  Course:

  • Solving Problems and Being Creative: I initially thought engineering was mostly about knowing technical stuff. But this course showed me it's about solving problems and thinking creatively. This new way of looking at things showed me how important it is to be innovative and flexible when developing engineering solutions.
  • Learning Together and Getting Better: One big idea from the course was peer review. This is where we all help each other learn and get better. It's not always easy because everyone knows different things, but it's really important for improving how and what we teach

What I Learned About My Future in Engineering:

  • Changing What I Want to Do: This course made me think differently about my future in engineering. I used to be more interested in learning theories, but now I'm excited about doing engineering work. This makes engineering feel more natural and fun for me.
  • Being Responsible and Safe: We talked a lot about ethics in engineering. I learned that engineers have to do more than build things. They have to make choices that are safe and good for everyone.

How This Course Changes Me as a Student:

Always Learning and Open to New Things: This course made me want to keep learning new stuff all the time. I'm excited to take in new ideas and ways of doing things. I understand now that learning isn't just about what happens in class; it's about growing as a person too.

Liking Hands-On Projects: I've learned how important it is to actually do things, not just read about them. Now, I really want to use what I learn in class to solve real engineering problems. This way, I can see how the things I learn in books work in the real world. It makes what I study feel more useful and interesting.

Thinking About What's Right, Not Just What Works: The course showed me how important it is to think about what's fair and safe, not just what solves the problem. As a student, I'm thinking more about how my choices as an engineer will affect people and the environment. This is a big part of growing into a good engineer.
